SANDARC's
Calender
Incorporated on August
11, 1958, the San Diego County Amateur Radio Council, SANDARC, exists
to serve the needs of the San Diego ham radio community. Our call
is W6SLF. SANDARC is made up of member clubs dedicated to the advancement
of amateur radio throughout San Diego County. The needs of our hobby
are served by many activities which are supported by SANDARC, but
not limited to the following:
- Volunteer Examiner Program. Known
as SANDARC-VEC, which hosts an examination every weekend of the
year, with certain exceptions. The fee is only $5 and at most sites
walk-ins are welcome.
- Various local events which include
an "Amateur Radio Booth" at the Del Mar Fair,
and the "ARRL Ham Radio Roundup," an event that is held at
Hillside Park in Rancho Penisquitos with the public in mind.
- In conjunction with the ARRL,
we sponsor a convention every fourth year. We sponsored
the 2006 convention. In September 2008, the "AzHamCom" convention will be held in
Mesa, Arizona.
