TS-480SAT is an all
mode HF plus 6 meter amateur transceiver. It features AF digital
signal processing on both receive and transmit. A quad-mixer provides
receiver dynamic range equivalent to that of the TS-950 class. Receive
coverage is 500 kHz (30 kHz VFO) to 60 MHz and direct frequency
keypad entry is supported. The stand-alone LCD control panel features
its own speaker and be placed up to 16 feet away from the main unit.
This radio features attractive back lighting of the display and
the controls! The supplied tabletop panel brackets is convenient
for base use. 100 Alphanumeric memories are available and multiple
scan functions are supported including: program scan, VFO scan,
memory scan, group scan, subtone scan and CTCSS scan. The TS-480SAT
can transmit 100 watts (5 watt minimum RF output for QRP work).
Many operational parameters can be set to your operating preferences
via the menu system. Up to two optional IF filters may be added.
It comes with an Up/Down hand mic that has a modular plug. ARCP-480
and ARHP-10 control software downloads are available free from www.kenwood.net. |

VX-8R HT provides
a full 5 watts FM on 50/144/430 MHz plus 1.5 watts on 222 MHz. It
supports Bluetooth® hands-free operation with the optional BU-1
and BH-1 or BH-2 accessories. There is also an optional GPS unit
and antenna with loads of features. This radio supports APRS 1200/9600
bps data communication (B band only). Like the VX7R, the VX8R is
submersible and meets IPX57 specifications (3 feet for minimum of
30 minutes). A powerful 7.4 V 1100 mAh Lithium Ion battery is included.
This HT is small, intuitive to operate only 2.36 x 3.74 x 0.92 inches
(thinner than VX-7R). It supports simultaneous independent 2-signal
dual receive function with both V + V or U + U. It has weather band
receive with Weather Alert. A barometric sensor is included. You
can even operate Amateur radio while receiving FM broadcasts! The
receive coverage is wider than VX-7R, with an independent AM/FM
broadcast receiver circuit. The dot matrix LCD display provides
Memory tag up to a maximum of 16 characters. You even get a high-resolution
Spectrum Analyzer with ±60 channels indication with wave
monitoring of received/modulated signal! And DCS and CTCSS encode
and decode is standard. |

Each registration will receive one hourly/grand prize ticket at
the door.
A valid hourly/grand prize ticket is filled out completely and must
be legible.
All hourly/grand prize tickets must be placed in the appropriate
bin no latter than 11:00 a.m. on Sunday September 19, 2010 to be
valid for the Grand Prize. For the hourly prizes, the ticket must
be placed in the appropriate bin upon entry of the convention to
qualify you for hourly drawings and Grand Prize. Additional hourly/grand
prize tickets may be obtained for $1.00 each at the prize booth.
Hourly prizes will be drawn from the hourly/grand prize bin. After
each hourly drawing, the ticket will be returned to the hourly/grand
prize bin. The winner must be present and must claim their prize
by 11:00 a.m. on Sunday September 19, 2010 or the prize will be
forfeited and redrawn at 11:05 a.m. If prize is forfeited and redrawn,
only those present at the 11:05 a.m. redrawing may win and must
